Principles

These are the 3 key principles to my personal approach to the counselling and personal experience design services provided to you:

  1. You matter – Your feelings, your needs, your aspirations: This is the foundation
  2. You hold the answers – You hold the key to your own transformation and meaningful change. You can heal and draw from past experiences. You are in charge of your life and responsible for how you create it.
  3. You are not alone:

    2. Let’s work out what’s right for you and your loved ones
    3. Let’s work out how you can best contribute to the community you are part of.
    4. or would you rather work it out the other way around?

The aim is to:

  • Help you alleviate your (emotional) distress
  • Assist you in making a positive difference in your life
  • Help you resolve your problems in a positive way by helping you to clarify the issues, explore options, develop strategies and increase self-awareness.
  • Enable you to develop self-understanding and to make changes in their lives.
  • Help you with the issues that are important to you
  • Assist you to identify and define your emotional issues and better understand yourself by explaining options, setting goals, providing therapy
  • Overcome the obstacles in your life and to maximise your full potential.
  • Work towards change with you in ways that complement your strengths and goals
